Jakarta Soekarno Hatta International airport...March 2009.First flight 24/09/1986.On Tuesday 12 September 2016 with TRIGANA AIR SERVICE livery and registration PK-YSY the Boeing 737-300 cargo plane operated by Trigana as flight TGN7321 sustained substantial damage in a landing accident on runway 15 at Wamena, Indonesia. Reports from the scene suggest the aircraft touched down hard, causing the left hand main landing gear leg to separate. A video of the accident shows the aircraft skidding down the runway. The aircraft came to rest on the right side of the runway.
The aircraft operated on a cargo flight from Jayapura, carrying 50 drums of oil weighing 8500 kg and 27 diesel drums with a weight of 5103 kg. In addition, the aircraft also carried 750 kg sugar, 40 kg of rice and 450 kg of other goods.
This was the second Boeing 737-300F landing accident at Wamena in just over a year. On August 28, 2015, a Cardig Air aircraft touched down about 35 meters before the beginning of runway 15, causing the left hand main gear to collapse.No fatalities ,airplane was writen off.
