Rhubarb shoots in late October?

I was very surprised to see 3 strong stems pushing through the soil at this time of year.

We have had a few days of alternating sunshine and showers, so perhaps Mother Nature has been tricked into early growth.

I have not forced the crown in any way - it has just happened.
