"The North Wind Doth Blow" - Condensation icicles
Condensation icicles - "The North Wind doth blow and we shall have snow"
We are due to have some heavy snow in the next 24 hours, as it moves across the country and today the winds were so cold that, high up under the eaves on the north elevation, the condensation from the bathroom extract fan froze into icicles, which stayed there all day.
I have never seen this effect before, so I thought it was worth a quick record shot.
The wind chill factor only adds to the problem.
The sea actually started to freeze over at Bembridge on the Isle of Wight today.
(Having seen the black mould high up under the eaves, through the telephoto lens, guess what has just been added to the Spring "To do" list!)
