The Beatles original recordings were on black vinyl. Then in the 80's CD's took over but for the first time this year, black vinyl sales in the UK have seen a huge resurgence and have over taken CD sales once more to reach a 25 year high.
In this image are the original LP sleeves, a Capitol Records CD of the American Beatles "Second Album", two magnetic cartridges for record players and a stylus brush for keeping dust and hairs off the playing surface of the records. The Pixall "Off the Record" roller was a roll of lightly adhesive tape that when rolled over the surface of the LP's removed any surface dust or hairs and was very effective in keeping your records clean.

And once again, Beatles albums are in the charts for the black vinyl resurgence.
