Come Dine with Me - Lunch in the New Forest?
A Time Lapse journey from Portsmouth to the New Forest. Taken using an Olympus EM-1 mounted on a tripod fixed to the car dashboard. 1 frame taken every 8 seconds.
Come and have a spot of lunch with me - it only takes 34 seconds this way to travel 45 miles. The equivalent of approx 4,750 mph.
Leaving the hustle and bustle of a busy city for a lunchtime meal in a Country Pub in the heart of the New Forest.
The pub is the lovely High Corner Inn at Linwood near Ringwood. The best kept secret in the New Forest and they are very dog friendly. Dog treats on the bar when you arrive.
"What is this life if full of care, we have no time to stand and stare?" - W H Davies
The cattle and horses run free in the New Forest so yes, if you don't know the area, you did see them grazing on the verge next to the roadside.
Sadly, 29 have been hit and killed this year.
How drivers cannot see a horse or a cow in front of them defies belief.
