Roasting Chili Peppers

 

For a magazine article. Peppers were stuck on a long skewer fastened to

a light stand with a clamp. The fire would be newspaper burning in an

hibachi. Was able to determine an exposure for just the flames when

they were high. Positioned SB-800 at 1/128 M with 6 inch snoot to light

only the peppers and keep light off the background. Moved flash back a

bit as it was a little too hot. A series of shots were taken when the

flames were high. Flash at 1/128 recycles almost instantly.
