This is what we mean by "cage free". The term means something else in factory farming. The Egg Mobile is constructed with nest boxes inside as well as roosts for the hens. The hens go inside just as it's getting dark out and we close the door until morning. When it's time for new pasture, we tow the Egg Mobile behind a lawn tractor to the new location, then let the hens out.
