There are worse ways to spend a Saturday!

Don’t you just love the English Summer, especially when you get the chance to spend a day with friends, buses and the lovely warm sunshine. Myself and Mark joined Terry, Woody & Graeme (fellow Flickrite) at junction 13 on the M5 northbound (Stroud) on board Woody’s Midland Red S23.

The S23 was on its way up to Wythall (BMMO Museum), for Kevin (Brush Painter) to work his magic and put her back to “As Delivered” condition. We were shown some wonderful hospitality by the chaps at Wythall and can’t thank them enough for making us feel so welcome this afternoon. We even got to walk around the workshops, sheds and were given a guided tour by the very knowledgable Maurice.

The S23 wasn’t the only reason for going to Wythall, as the Devon & Dorset Group had been up three weks earlier with Terry’s Devon General LHS, and were needing to go up and pick her up after receiving its Brush Paint!

The LHS looks FANTASTIC, and I cannot praise Kevin at Wythall enough for the work he does, well they all do!!!!!

We are back up to Wythall in two weeks time, when we bring Mark’s Metrobus down from Reliance Bus Works. We have been kindly invited into Wythall with the bus and the group for an afternoon tea stop!

I shall post some pics of the S23 once she has been done, as the plan is to drop Woody’s Duple bodied Leopard off at Wythall when we pick up the S23, and when the Leopard has been finished, My Tiger will be going up to be vinyled into “National Express Venetian” livery!
