Gardener's Cake

I was asked to make a cake for a 90 year old gentleman who loves gardening and Spitfires! During the war, he worked in the manufacturing of Spitfires and has never lost his passion for them. His daughter commissioned the cake, giving me free reign on design, as long the garden had lots of colourful flowers and somehow managed to incorporate a Spitfire.
