Platanthera ciliaris (Yellow Fringed orchid)

Brief trip to the Pisgah National Forest to check on the Platanthera ciliaris or Yellow Fringed orchids. There were probably 50-75 of them scattered along the grassy shoulder of a forest service road. It was cloudy the entire time I was there, which is a good thing for wildflower photography.
