Some of you know that I have been facing some personal challenges in the past year. I can't say that the challenges have gotten easier, but I am working on finding some positive coping strategies. At the suggestion of a good friend, I began journaling a few months ago. While I haven't stumbled across any surprising insights, I do think that writing helps me to process negative events and the feelings that come with them. According to my friend, step 1 is picking a beautiful journal so that you want to use it. Maybe she was right. This is the first time I have managed to stick with a journal for more than a few entries.
