Behind The Mask
My mask is pretty thick. I can act like a confident, capable, positive adult, but it's an act. Inside, I am a shy, scared, and doubtful teenager. I'll walk up and shake your hand with a big smile on my face, but my knees are shaking. I'll speak to an auditorium full of people, but my stomach will be in knots.
I'm 40 years old, and I am still pretending to be an adult.
