Bindi (Bindu (sanskrit) means dot, drop) is a decoration worn/applied in the center of forehead close to eyebrows by women and girls.

It is believed that the area between eyebrows is the sixth chakra, seat of concealed wisdom and bindi is worn to retain energy and also strengthen concentration.
