I have admired this sign for many years and I should have photographed it long ago. I was in the area a couple of weeks back and made a point of stopping.
There was a maintenance man working on the front door of the building and he came around and we started talking. Really nice younger gentleman. As it turns out he is the owner of the building. He told me something that made me very unhappy. He's going to paint the building. So this will be going away soon along with the other 3 signs that share space here.
When I was a youngster, the Cincinnati bottling plant for Vernor's was a mile or so from where we lived. I thought it would be neat to see the place but the men up front would only let me see what could be viewed from the lobby.
