AMTK 8 Whitman

Amtrak no.8, the eastbound Empire Builder, passes the Bass Camp in Whitman, Minnesota, as it snakes along the shores of the snow-covered Mississippi River landscape.

 

That day, no.8 was approximately five hours late. This was one of the only Empire Builder trains we saw that trip without a BNSF motor tacked onto the lead.
