Step1
I'm doing this set for a bit of hall decor. As I'm looking at leaving Canada, I wanted to create some images to remind me of home.
First, I found and downloaded the highest resolution portrait photography I could find, sized it and rubbed graphite on the back to transfer guidelines to prepared 6" x 6" black canvas.
I've been messing around with colour on colour work and wanted to use the black ground to create a high contrast composition.
I picked (from left to right, top to bottom)
Sir Wilfred Laurier, Sir Alexander MacKenzie, Sir John A. Macdonald, William Lyon Mackenzie King, Lester B. Pearson and Pierre Elliot Trudeau.
