ernest has been a security guard, guide and overall guardian angel at the amazing shelburne museum for 22 years. i asked if i could take his picture shortly after he closed up every window on the 220 ft. ticonderoga, the steamship enjoying a beautiful retirement on the grass with many other antique structures, like that lighthouse back there. guess ernest and his buddies are all in the same boat (chortle): living and loving history. i'm glad you're there, ernest. and i told him so.
