Last Chance

I have been missing in action, mostly, with so many demands that I have not been very active on Flickr for a while. Still, it is one of my favorite places to go, and I had to post one last image for the year. Thanks to all my contacts and visitors who have shown interest and appreciation for my work. I hope the New Year is good to you all.

 

Sunsets are challenging where I live, since no matter where I am, the sun has nearly always gone behind mountains and trees long before it goes beneath the horizon. We will get beautiful skies, but it is not quite the same. On the coast, like here on Mount Desert Island in Maine, there is a chance to get a spectacular sky and an interesting reflection of it as well. Here at low tide the seaweed and very gentle waves break up the reflection of the last rays of sunset, just before the colors get turned off.
