Through Iowa City

This morning, we had 3 shots in mind: somewhere near where the deadhead got underway, Iowa City, and Moscow. For the Iowa City shot, we considered the in-town crossing of the Iowa River, but passed since we thought a that early hour, the sun wouldn't be be very good for a side angle shot from the south. We had kind of pre-scouted and saw that there was an old Rock Island depot just east of there. But, when we arrived there were two problems: 1) The depot was kind of in the shadows of other building/trees and 2) There was a giant rolloff dumpster in the middle of the scene f-ing things up and make any kind of shot (depot in the shade aside) impossible.

Running out of time, we settled for the first crossing east of the Iowa River, which had a somewhat decent curve to it...and the positive of straight down the pipe sun. But, it turns out that the light was pretty good for the Iowa River shot and while the light was great here, the scene was pretty damn boring so, it's hard to put this one down as a "win" for me.
