Strong Stuff
For many years, we have had a fun practice, which has evolved, I suppose, to a tradition over the past decade or so within my immediate family and some close friends. Initially dubbed "Turkey Day Replay" it eventually has settled on the name "Second Thanksgiving" for us - where we make another Thanksgiving Dinner and sides in order to have more leftovers to enjoy. We also try out new recipes and experiment with other things that we might try on "First Thanksgivings" in the future.
The 2018 version of Second Thanksgiving would include a long time favorite "Strong Stuff" which was a recipe of my Aunt Kay's featuring bing cherries, cherry jello, and port wine.
