Of course, it wouldn't be a day railfanning for me without a visit from the local sheriff -- wherein he implied that his concern was to make sure that "I was OK" and that "especially with bridges, we have to check on things..."
DaFuq? This is now the second time I've basically been accused of contemplating suicide from an overpass over a rail line. Is there REALLY a run of folks trying to off themselves via a 22 foot plunge that probably WON'T do the job?
I managed to squeeze off a couple of shots of train #11 on the day, passing in the best light of the day. This also seemed to convince the officer I was not a harm to myself and he moved along.
