Each time

        I hear this

  there's

              instantly

              a little voice

    in the back of my mind

      going

          Oh yeah ?

                    In what terms ?

                    What unit

                              are you using

                          to measure a human life ?

                    Kilograms ?

 

And then

    that little

              somewhat amused

              somewhat agressive

          voice

          in the back of my mind

      recedes

  and lets the contemplation

                                                  arise

          of how the very idea

                                            of

                                            replacement

                                is

                                    entirely

                                            irrelevant
