Wallace Fountain outside Wallace Collection, London

A Wallace Fountain can be seen outside the Wallace Collection, Manchester Square, London. This is a detail of one of the caryatids who represent kindness, simplicity, charity and sobriety. The fountains were designed by Charles-Auguste Lebourg in 1872 and appear throughout the city of Paris. They are named after Richard Wallace, who financed their construction.
