Nurses Home, Beccles, Suffolk, UK
102 and 102a Fair Close
Nurses Home designed by the local architect Arthur Pells and built at a cost of £400.
The terracotta roundel was first cast by Stanley Bros for Queen Victoria’s 1887 Golden Jubilee. They reissued it for the Diamond Jubilee setting it in a new frame. The additional plaque identifying the Nurses Home is separate. The plaques produced by Stanley Bros for both jubilees were popular across Britain.
