Leaf Tortoise Beetles

A pair of Chrysomelid Beetles, on the leaf of a Goat's Foot Vine.

These beeltes have several common names, such as "Tortoise Beetle" and "Eucalypt Beetle", but these names seem to cover dozens of species. There are many species of tortoise beetle, all similar but with some differences. These two could be Aspidimorpha westwoodii

Not large beetles at only about 5mm in length. Both the adults and larvae eat the leaves of their host plants.
