The Rolvenden site looks very undeveloped by present-day standards - even the Rother Valley Timber Company, behind the fence on the right, has expanded a lot since thosedays.
The water tank was almost the only feature at Rolvenden to survive rationalisation by British Railways after passenger services stopped in 1954
