Walthamstow Hoe Street station in 1968

An Eastern Region electric train seen on 1st September 1968, the first day of public services on the Victoria Line to Walthamstow. The station was renamed Walthamstow Central on the same day.

3-car unit 454 (Class 308) is in a short-lived early variant of the British Rail blue livery, with a small yellow panel instead of the whole end being painted yellow.
