Sometimes it strikes me that flowers may have sounds, the Iris perhaps a flute, a rose maybe a viola. Poppies have to be something brassy and loud like a trumpet and to see a whole field of them it’s like a brass band. This colourful burst of noise is from Easy Yorkshire. Nothing subtle in this shot then, just the raw urgency of summer
