Tour de l'Horloge Avallon

I always liked the name of the town of Avallon it sounds so romantic . In truth Avallon is a fairly ordinary Burgundy market town. However like most French towns there are interesting historic buildings . This shows the fifteenth century Tour de l'Horloge that arches over the Grande Rue Avallon’s main street . In my opinion France seems to care for its history much better than England

 

This was a difficult exposure which I have tried to balance out in photoshop
