Starling murmurations # 3
** This was taken on a cold grey day in January 2019 . I have revisited the site a few times but have never been able to see such a mass of birds again . Fortunately I did take a few shots back in 2019 so here is another one .
The fact that the Starlings performed in front of The Humber Bridge was a real bonus. When I posted the last shot a couple of people asked where they were going in fact they are going nowhere this is the display before they roost for the night . The display began about 10 minutes after sunset so light levels were low the shot is hand held and apart from a crop is SOOC
The sight of a murmuration of starlings is not that common in the UK now the RSPB site says Starling numbers have dropped about 80% in the last forty years .
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM. I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO WITHOUT ALSO LEAVING A COMMENT .
