A thrush the first for 25 years

* I am pretty excited to have taken this shot . While it is a pretty standard bird shot taken through glass in our kitchen. It is the first time in over 25 years that we have had a Thrush in our garden . When we first came to the house we saw them fairly often then they vanished . It took about three attempts to get a half decent shot it shows up most days but heads for the undergrowth in the garden but on this occasion it landed in one of our Ivy hedges . Welcome back to the Thrush the best song bird in the English garden

Sadly this bird is on the RSPB Red list

1 Species is globally threatened.

2 Historical population decline in UK during 1800–1995.

Severe (at least 50%) decline in UK breeding population over last 25 years, or longer-term period (the entire period used for assessments since the first BoCC review, starting in 1969).
