Lake Louise At Daybreak ( four shot HDR)

* Sadly Lake Louise was not a lucky location, we visited twice on the first occasion the rain was heavy and the second attempt was not much better. We arrived at the Lake at 6am it was pitch black and there was light rain. We passed the time before daybreak having a wonderful breakfast in the Fairmount Hotel on the edge of the lake . One of the best breakfasts I have had and the highlight of the visit to Lake Louise .

 

This shot was taken apart thirty minutes after sunrise not that there was any sign of the sun . I set up a tripod and took a few shots in the gloom. I decided to try a HDR shot to try and get the best of the poor light . It worked pretty well I think though its a technique I had only tried once before .

We did walk to the end of the lake but sadly the light rain turned heavy . I saw enough to recognise that it is a beautiful spot even if it did not quite show off its charms to me
