These children rowed over to our boat. We were in life jackets they just look completely at ease on this very deep river. They are from the Caboclos people in this area. They settled into the Amazon area in the past century their lifestyle is quite marginal and they have learnt a great deal of their skills from the indigenous people of the area. The caboclos are used found living in simple homes on the banks of rivers
The children were incredibly curious and friendly and a joy to see
