In memory and solidarity with Jo Cox the Labour MP who was brutally murdered in her constituency yesterday. She seemed to be not only a good socialist but also a warm and generous human being. Jo was only 41 and had a great future ahead of her and will be sadly missed by the party. She is survived by her husband and two young children and my thoughts go out to them at this time.
If I can make one comment that may be seen as controversial. If her murderer had been a Muslim the press would be falling over themselves to condemn Islamic Terrorism. However he is a right wing racist so he will be described as being deranged. We have a nasty tabloid press that is openly racist and the Leave campaign in the referendum going on and on about putting Britain first is there any wonder if someone takes them literally. When you stoke up the fire of xenophobia someone will eventually end of being burnt
