In cases like this, I am often impressed with how cleanly some old buildings can be separated, when an adjacent building is demolished that has been attached for 50 years or more.
Obviously, the remaining building was built to fit the space left by the demolished building. Now that the previous building is gone, the shape of this remaining building suddenly looks very strange.
I wanted to be able to walk into the rooms at the corner of this late 40s/early 50s building and see what such an oddly-shaped room would look like from the inside.
