Lets get loaded!
This is one of my all-time favourite pictures I've taken, not just for the result, but also for the story behind it.
Whilst staying with my Grandmother in 1982, and aged about 17, I borrowed her push bike and cycled about 4 miles to the RMC North West Aggregates Raynes Quarry nr Old Colwyn, North Wales.
Enquiring as to whether it would be ok to take a few pictures of the lorries, I was invited to climb into the cab of this H33 Heathfield Dumptruck whilst the driver drove up to the rock-face for another load.
Whilst being loaded by a Clark 275B loading shovel I jumped out to take this picture.
Somehow, I don't think my 'cab-ride' would be allowed these days!!!
