I programmed an IM client back in 2003 called BitWise. This is the design for the old BitWise website (bitwiseim.com) I was proud of this design. Depending on the context of the page, the graphical title changed in the upper left corner. The mouse rollover effects are shown. They are very subtle and give the illusion of transparent buttons because the background shows itself.
