This music video for the song was filmed in England by Shynola. The video was highly successful and was nominated in three categories at the MTV Video Music Awards, and eventually won in Best Special Effects category.
The video features the band performing on the back of a truck, which eventually crashes into another truck. This storyline is interspersed with sexual imagery of women, and the car crash can be seen as a metaphor for sex.
It features revolutionary visual effects. The footage was shot in a studio; the desert background was added later.
Shynola is the collective name of a group of four visual artists based in London who have collaborated on a variety of projects, most notably a number of acclaimed music videos for several pioneering artists.
Shynola formed when Gideon Baws, Chris Harding, Richard Kenworthy and Jason Groves met in 1994 at The Kent Institute of Art and Design. They collaborated on a number of different art projects during their time at college, including organising a show of work at a London gallery in 1996 called "Shinola".
