That Feeling...
This image was taken on June 1st 2008. This was the day that I had recieved my first DSRL. I had been shooting with a Panasonic Lunix before this, that I absolutely loved.... but, I had decided that I needed a true DSRL with the flexablilty of lens changing.
A week or so before this image was taken I had ordered a brand new Canon 40d with a 50mm 1.8 prime lens. When this baby arrived I was so excited. Taking pictures of everything. We were hanging out in the back yard when it looked like in the distance there were some cool clouds hanging around. I decided to head over to the nearest bike bridge to see what it looked like. So happy that I decided to do this. I remember coming back from the bridge and looking at the pictures I had just captured.... and I just smiled. I had witnessed one of the better skies I have seen. It was an awesome day and and awesome feeling.
Photography has some great personalities. It can bring you way up and it can bring you way down. Those times that are frustrating only make those godspeak times that much better. That's why we keep on heading out!
I had posted another similar image from this night about a year ago. Not sure which one I like better. The sun was coming out of the clouds more on this one..
Hope you like!
