Crested Black Tyrant (Knipolegus lophotes)

Knipolegus is the genus of black tyrants, birds in the Tyrannidae family.

 

It contains 11 or 12 species, depending on the classification, all of them found exclusively in South America.

 

They are known in Brazil as "marias-pretas".
