Bean Hollow

Seagulls helping out with some depth of field tests.

 

The seagull population is getting supplemental food from a nearby blue whale carcass. They show a lot of personality as they reluctantly leave the carcass when you approach and then sneak back deliberately from another angle. These ones have moved to the rocks where they can digest the whale jerky in peace.

 

The whale actually doesn't smell too much anymore. I think we're all lucky the highway department didn't blow it up.
