Kite Aerial Photography. Infrared modified Canon G3, deep red filter. One of my first experiments with the aperture fully open (F2! -- wish they had that on the later G-series cameras ). Adjusted contrast and sharpening to see a little texture in the trees.
Depending on what you are photographing an infrared modified camera in full spectrum can give you a few more F-stop equivalents and increase your shutter speed. Of course you can end up with an over-saturated channel or two and lousy contrast -- depending on your target and your white balance. . . All in all, I think it's a decent option for low light KAP when you know you will fail with unmodified point and shoot cameras.
