New equipment

The old HP19W display has moved over to the PC wich you can see on the right. The Mac has now been hooked up to a fully calibrated LG 245WP-monitor. We're talking 24 inches, M-PVA 16,7 million colors here.

I compared a lot of screens during the last couple of months, with the importancy of a large, realistic color depth and wider viewing angle constantly in my head. This one made it fine through a lot of tests, even comparable with (usually far more expensive) other screens from brands like Dell, the Apple Cinema-family, LaCie and others. This one did the trick for me, and it will be used for a lot of designing in the future.

The Mac Mini is now less 'mini' because of 2GB's of RAM. Works great for me.

Update (March 22, 2008): The Mac Mini has got a new sidekick for field jobs: a brandnew MacBook 2.2 GHz ICD. Even though the MacBook is a little faster, I'll keep on using the Mini as my main working-computer. I'm also not intending to use the Macbook for any serious graphical work either. Its screen can't be calibrated the way I want it to, unlike the LG 24". But it's a great tool for client meetings, field work and... watching (or creating) a DVD in my spare time ;)
