Lust and Samson - carvings on St Mark's Basilica, Venice

The archivolts (concentric arches above the door) of the main portal of St Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy are decorated with elaborate relief carvings of figures and scenes, created in the 13th century.

 

Here is a detail from the innermost arch showing (at the bottom) Lust and, immediately above, Samson fighting the lion.
