Arco Fóscari in the courtyard of the Doge's Palace
Begun by brothers Bartolomeo and Giovanni Bon to a commission from Doge Francesco Fóscari, and completed by Antonio Rizzo and Antonio Bregno in the late 1450s.
The passageway through the arch leads left to right as seen in this picture, and ends with the ornamented staircase known as the Scala dei Giganti which can partly be seen in the bottom right corner.
Behind can be seen the domes of St Mark's Cathedral.
