relief carving of griffins on St Mark's Basilica, Venice

Located on the south wall of the Treasury, on the south side of the Basilica facing the Doge's Palace and the Piazzetta San Marco, and adjacent to the sculpture of the Tetrarchs.

 

There is a similar relief carved panel depicting peacocks next to this one.
