The current building of Santa Maria Maggiore in Tuscania, Lazio, was consecrated in 1206.
On the left and right hand side of the door are statues of St Paul and St Peter respectively. In the lunette above the door are carvings showing (on the left) the sacrifice of Isaac; (in the middle) the Madonna and child blessing; and (on the right) Agnus Dei, the lamb of God.
