The 14th century Chiesa Madre church is the cathedral (Duomo) of the north-east Sicilian hill town of Erice.
Its campanile, from which this photo was taken, once served as a lookout tower for Frederick III of Aragon. On the opposite side of the town can be seen the church of San Giovanni Battista.
