The church tower and ruined nave in the grounds of Ettington Park Hotel date back to the 12th century. The rest of the church buildings along with the houses of Ettington village were intentionally demolished in 1795 when the village land was incorporated into the estate of the nearby Ettington Hall (now Ettington Park Hotel), on the orders of the local lord, George Shirley. A new village, Upper Ettington, was built two miles away, together with a new church.
The church tower is not open to the public, as the sign seen here clearly states!
