looking up from the choir of Rouen Cathedral

The Norman Romanesque arches can clearly be seen in this view looking up from the choir at the crossing of Rouen's Cathedral of Notre Dame in Normandy, France.

The current cathedral building was begun in the 12th century, and underwent repairs and alterations through to the 16th century. The Romanesque arches seen here clearly date back to the earliest period of the building.
